A couple months back, the Algonquin and Lake in the Hills Patch sites merged giving you all of your Algonquin and LITH news on one site at Algonquin-Lake in the Hils Patch.

Prior to this, we ran two separate Facebook and Twitter pages for the respective Algonqun and Lake in the Hills Patch sites.

To make life easier for everyone moving forward, we will be providing all of your Algonquin and Lake in the Hills social media updates on one Twitter page and one Facebook page. And we will be shutting down the Lake in the Hills Patch Facebook page and the @LakeHillsPatch Twitter page on Friday.

The great thing about following us on social media is that we often provide updates that we might not regularly post to the site.

For example, when there is breaking news, we will provide quick updates on Facebook to let people know about traffic back-ups or accidents or other news before providing a full update on the site. 

We also use Facebook and Twitter to interact with readers. If there is something you would like us to cover, shoot us a message on Facebook or a tweet. I make a point of responding. Is there an event you would like to see covered? Let us know!
